TAIWAN FROM THE AIR, REVISITED

By now, everyone knows that we have a new camera – the Nikon D7000. What most people do not know is that I just returned from a week long business trip to Thailand. It was dark when we flew into Taiwan, but I was able to get some photos out the window. So, here they are, thanks to the engineers at Nikon and their wonderful creation, the D7000:
This was my first view of Kaohsiung as we approached Taiwan from the South-East.
This is Tainan, which is just a beautiful on the ground, if you ask me.
Chaiyi. The next three shots were taken as we traveled north past Chaiyi:
I really like how the D7000 captured the clouds and the mountains behind them. Clicking on any photo will take you to it’s Flickr page where you can use the “Actions” pulldown to view larger sizes.
The above four shots are approaching Chuanghua, another nice area of Taiwan. Next we’ll be passing Changhua and approaching Taichung:
The large city on the left is Taichung. Here are more of Taichung:
Unfortunately as you can see, we flew into cloud cover, and I was only able to get a few more shots.
A little lower altitude, these are of Taoyuan, somewhere.
